We design and install glass pool fencing for homes through the Eastern Suburbs, from the harbour foreshores at Vaucluse, Rose Bay and Double Bay out to the Pacific at Dover Heights and Coogee, and the ridge at Bellevue Hill. Frameless glass keeps a water outlook open. Where a block drops toward the harbour, we step the panels and the gate to suit the levels.

Sydney Glass Pool Fencing has 10+ years of experience and 100+ projects completed. Ask for a free site measure and quote, and include the street address with your enquiry.

These homes sit in three council areas: Woollahra, Waverley and Randwick. Woollahra states that over 3,500 private swimming pools and spas are in that municipality, and it inspects the barriers. Waverley states that all swimming pools and outdoor spas need to be registered with the NSW Government Swimming Pool Register. Randwick issues a certificate of compliance when the pool is registered in the NSW Swimming Pools Register and complies with the Swimming Pools Act 1992. The street address tells us which council applies.

    Glass that keeps the outlook

A harbour block and a clifftop yard both call for clear glass, and the layout still follows the pool on that property. Frameless panels suit an open outlook. Semi-frameless panels, held with slim posts, suit a run that needs more structure. Toughened safety glass in this range is 12mm. The gate sits in that line, where people walk through, and it has to close and latch.

    Pools, balconies and gates

A backyard pool takes a pool fence. A flat, a terrace or an attached home may need balcony glass, stair glass, or a privacy screen on a side passage. Aluminium pool fencing is the barrier when the yard wants a metal edge.

If a pool gate no longer swings shut, pool gate repairs cover hinges, latches and catches. We also repair sliding and swing automatic gates. NSW pool barrier rules are set out in our guide, Pool fence requirements in NSW. Glass pool fences are designed and installed to meet or exceed Australian Standards (AS1926.1), and we provide the certification that comes with that work.

    Houses, flats and terraces

The job changes with the housing. Vaucluse and Dover Heights are usually a backyard pool fence. Bellevue Hill mixes flat buildings with semi and detached houses. Rose Bay has interwar detached houses and Art Deco flat buildings. Double Bay contains dwelling houses, terraces and many residential flat buildings. Coogee can be a house pool or balcony glass behind the beach. Where a house still has a pool, the fence goes around the water.

    What to have ready

A useful enquiry names the suburb and the street, and says whether you need a new pool fence, a replacement, a balustrade, a privacy screen or a gate repair. Photos of the pool edge, the gate and any fall in the yard help us prepare. We still visit before we quote.
