With a variety of styles, heights and finishes available, we can tailor your fencing to suit your property while providing a strong and long-lasting result.

    Process

    1

    Free site measure

We visit the property, review the fence line and access points, and discuss privacy, pool use, ground levels and the finish you have in mind.

    2

    Clear quote

We confirm the style, height, spacing, finish and gate details, with a clear quote before any work is agreed.

    3

    Supply and installation

We supply the fence in quality materials and install it to meet Australian Standards.

Boundaries, vertical slats and privacy screening

A boundary fence, a pool enclosure and a privacy screen each have a different job. We start with how you use the space, then consider the level of screening, the fence line and the position of gates. This helps the layout work with the property as well as its appearance.

Vertical slats can create a clean, consistent rhythm across a frontage or outdoor area. The spacing affects both privacy and the view through the fence. We can discuss a design that works with adjoining glass fencing, garden features or an automatic gate.

Custom gates and existing fence upgrades

A matching gate helps connect the fixed panels with the paths and entrances you use every day. We consider the opening, direction of movement and available space during the measure, with hardware chosen for the intended use.

If part of an existing fence is being retained, send photos of the panels, posts and connections. Their condition and dimensions help determine whether new sections can be integrated or whether replacement is the more practical approach.

    Common pool fencing styles

Tubular fencing: vertical round or square tubes between a top and bottom rail. It is the most familiar style around backyard pools.
Flat-top and loop-top designs: the same panel and post system, with a cleaner or more decorative finish along the top.
Matched designs: a style chosen to sit with an existing fence, gate or the look of the home.

    Glass or aluminium?

Both are common pool fencing options, and the right one depends on the site. Glass keeps an open view across the water and the garden. Aluminium gives a more defined boundary, sits comfortably alongside other metal fencing and gates, and is often chosen where the view through the fence matters less. If you are unsure, we can talk through both at the site measure. You can also read about glass pool fencing and frameless glass pool fencing.

    The pool gate

Every pool fence needs a gate that closes and latches reliably. We plan the gate into the layout from the start, place it where people actually walk through, and install it with the rest of the fence to meet Australian Standards. The NSW rules for pool gates are summarised in our guide to pool fence requirements in NSW.

    Care and upkeep

Aluminium pool fencing needs little upkeep. Keep plants, furniture and anything climbable clear of the fence, wash the panels down from time to time, and check that the gate swings shut and latches every time. If the gate stops closing properly, we also repair pool gates.

Powder-coated panels are washed with fresh water so salt and garden dirt do not sit on the finish. In NSW, under the pool owner obligations, fence bolts, screws and fasteners are kept tight, and gate hinges and latches are kept working. A gate that no longer shuts by itself should be looked at before it is left in daily use.

    Bars, boundaries and sloping yards

There must not be gaps of more than 10cm between any vertical bars in the fence, and if the fence contains horizontal climbable bars, these must be spaced at least 90cm apart. A pool fence must be at least 1.2m high, as measured from the finished ground level. The fence must not leave a gap at the bottom bigger than 10cm from the finished ground level. If a boundary fence is part of the pool fence, the barrier must be 1.8m high.

On a yard that falls, the free site measure follows the finished ground along the line of posts. The gate is placed where people walk. It swings outwards, away from the pool area, shuts by itself and self-latches. Pot plants, toys and chairs must not be within the 90cm non-climbable zone. This zone is measured in an arc shape from the top of the pool fence arching towards the ground.

What to have ready for the measure

Have the suburb, whether the pool is new or already in use, and a rough idea of where the fence and the gate should go. If the gate would open toward the house rather than toward the water, say so at the visit so the swing can be checked. A pool gate swings outwards, away from the pool area.

Tell us the suburb, the approximate fence length and whether you need a pool enclosure, boundary, privacy screen or gate. We can arrange a time to measure up.

    Aluminium fencing questions

Is aluminium fencing only for pool areas?+
No. We also supply and install boundary fencing, vertical slat designs, privacy screening and custom gates. The design is tailored to the intended use and the setting.
Is aluminium pool fencing a good option for a family backyard?+
It is a common choice for family pool areas. It gives a defined barrier and pairs easily with other metal fencing and gates. We can compare it with glass for your yard at the site measure.
What is the difference between glass and aluminium pool fencing?+
Glass keeps the view open, while aluminium gives a more structured look. Both are designed and installed to meet Australian Standards. The best choice depends on the layout, the view and the style of the property.
    What is tubular pool fencing?+
A style of metal pool fencing made from vertical tubes between a top and bottom rail. It is one of the most common aluminium pool fencing styles.
Do you install aluminium pool fencing on commercial sites?+
Yes. We supply and install aluminium pool fencing for residential and commercial pool areas across Sydney.
What should I have ready for a quote?+
The suburb, whether the pool is new or existing, roughly where the fence and gate should go, and any plans or photos of the yard. We confirm the details at the free site measure.
How far apart should the bars be on an aluminium pool fence?+
There must not be gaps of more than 10cm between any vertical bars in the fence. If the fence contains horizontal climbable bars, these must be spaced at least 90cm apart. The site measure sets the panel to the line of the yard.
