Glass pool fencing in Dural, The Hills.
Dural yards vary. Some are compact and some have more room to spread, and we price the fence from the lot in front of us. Glass or aluminium closes the pool, with the gate on the walking line.
Round Corner is the town centre. North of it, Old Northern Road is the line between The Hills and Hornsby Shire, and Derriwong Road sits on the Hills side.

Start with the property address. Dural is listed by both The Hills Shire Council and Hornsby Shire Council, so the street decides who you ask. Read our requirements guide for the NSW overview, then take the property question to that council or to a private certifier who inspects pools.
The Hills residential controls. The pool stays out of the front setback and the secondary boundary setback, with a minimum setback of 1m from the waterline to the side and rear boundaries. Across that road the street is in Hornsby Shire, and that council sets the local siting. We still measure the pool.
The gate has less room to swing, and the pool often sits close to the house and a side boundary. We check that path on site before we choose glass or aluminium.
It can. We look at how the panels get in, the paving, and any second opening to a side path. A longer carry or a tight side path is part of the quote for that yard.
The street address, so we know whether The Hills or Hornsby applies, and whether the fence is new or a replacement. If a gate has failed, say whether it will not shut, will not latch, or both.
Yes, when you want to see the water from the house. Aluminium suits a solid boundary. We check how the gate swings before we choose.

Around Round Corner the pool is often close to the house and the side boundary. We check how the gate swings, and whether aluminium on the boundary or glass toward the house is the better fit. A short run still needs the gate to close and latch.
The visit looks at access for the panels, the paving, and any second opening to a side path. The quote is for that layout.
On a larger lot along Derriwong Road or further up Old Northern Road, the pool fence and the driveway are often two jobs. A driveway gate that slides or swings is an automatic gate, and we can repair it when it stops opening or closing properly.
We quote the pool fence and the driveway gate as the jobs they are.
Dural is listed by both The Hills Shire Council and Hornsby Shire Council. The street decides who you ask. North of Round Corner, the Hills side is the Derriwong Road side of Old Northern Road. A property on the other side of that road is a Hornsby question.
