Glass Pool Fencing Upper North Shore

Serving Upper North Shore and surrounding suburbs

    (02) 9073 7918
Pool glass fencing house lawn wide.

We install glass pool fencing across Wahroonga, Turramurra, Pymble, St Ives, Killara and Lindfield. A house with a backyard pool is the usual fence. In Killara and Lindfield, flats sit among those houses, so a balustrade is often the other part of the job.

The Pacific Highway and the North Shore line follow the main ridge. That ridge reaches 210 metres above sea level at Wahroonga. Secondary ridges run out through Turramurra, St Ives, Pymble and Killara. West of the highway the creeks fall to the Lane Cove River. East of the highway they fall towards Middle Harbour. Shale caps the ridge tops. Further down, the creeks cut into Hawkesbury sandstone, with rock benches and steeper slopes in the gullies.

    Heritage streets

Parts of the Upper North Shore sit in Ku-ring-gai heritage conservation areas. A listing covers the building exteriors and the setting. It does not by itself rule out a pool fence. Ku-ring-gai Council assesses the change. A frameless or semi-frameless fence keeps the line discreet on those streets and leaves the garden visible. Send the street address with your enquiry.

The pool barrier, the gate and the certificate are set out in our pool fence requirements guide.

    Ridge gardens and creek slopes

On the shale cap, many house gardens are broad and fairly level, and a long run of frameless glass suits that ground. Where the block drops towards a creek, we set the panels to the levels we measure and put the gate where you already walk.

A pool still needs its own barrier, on a ridge garden or in a gully. Ku-ring-gai Council can inspect a pool barrier and issue a certificate of compliance. A certificate of compliance is valid for 3 years. A registered certifier can carry out the inspection as well. Send the street so the request goes to the right council.

    Fencing, gates and balustrades

We supply frameless and semi-frameless glass pool fencing, aluminium pool fencing where a solid edge suits the boundary, plus balustrades and automatic gates. Glass pool fences are designed and installed to meet or exceed the requirements set by Australian Standards (AS1926.1). We take care of compliance from start to finish and provide all necessary certification.

We have 10+ years of experience and 100+ projects completed.

What to send before we measure

Send the street address, a photo of the water edge, and where you want the gate. Say whether the job is the pool, a stair or an open edge in a flat, or a driveway gate. If branches overhang the fence line, we will measure the gate clear of them.

We walk the pool edge and the gate position with you, then talk through frameless glass, semi-frameless glass or aluminium.

    Keeping the gate closed

NSW asks that doors and gates to the pool stay closed when they are not in use, and that the barrier be kept in good repair. If a pool gate sticks, or a sliding or swing automatic gate fails to close, tell us what it is doing. We look at it and talk through the repair.
