    Wahroonga

A backyard pool behind a house is the usual Wahroonga job. The Wahroonga Conservation Area and the Woodville Avenue conservation area take in some of the older streets, and there we keep the glass line discreet so the garden stays the view.

Wahroonga sits at the high end of the ridge, 210 metres above sea level. The Wahroonga Conservation Area holds Federation and interwar houses. The western end of Burns Road and the western side of Coonanbarra Road keep more modest Federation houses. Burns Road, Water Street and Coonanbarra Road also carry formal avenues of street trees, with paths between the blocks, and Wahroonga Park sits among them.

    Common Questions

    Frequently asked questions

We use 12mm toughened safety glass. Frameless panels leave the garden open from the house. Semi-frameless panels suit a run that needs posts. On a conservation street the fence stays in the yard.

A clean line on a heritage street

Frameless panels leave the garden open from the house side of the pool. Semi-frameless panels add slim posts where the run needs more support. On Burns Road and Coonanbarra Road the fence stays in the yard, so the street trees and the garden remain what you see from the house.

Fox Valley and the fall off the ridge

The Mahratta conservation area is an early housing pocket on the western side of the Pacific Highway, at the corner of the highway and Fox Valley Road. Fox Valley Creek runs from this side of Wahroonga to the Lane Cove River. Closer to the creek the ground cuts into sandstone, with benches and steeper slopes.

On that fall we set the glass to the levels in the yard and keep the gate where you can walk through. Higher on the ridge the run is often longer and flatter.

    Driveway gates

We supply and install sliding and swinging automatic gates, and we repair a gate that sticks or fails to close. A Fox Valley fall and a Burns Road garden are not the same layout, so name the street.
