    Glass Pool Fencing Northern Beaches

Serving Northern Beaches and surrounding suburbs

    Pool glass fencing house wide.

We design and install glass pool fencing across the Northern Beaches, from ocean homes in Manly and Dee Why to backyard pools in Frenchs Forest and Belrose. Sydney Glass Pool Fencing brings 10+ years of experience and 100+ projects completed.

A balcony in the salt air, a house pool set back from the beach, and a foreshore block that falls toward the water are three different layouts. Send the street address with your enquiry so the measure matches your pool.

    Ocean, harbour and inland yards

Manly has the ocean on one side and harbour coves on the other. Dee Why faces the sea, with the lagoon behind the dunes. Where you want that water to stay in view, frameless glass is the clear choice.

Seaforth meets Middle Harbour. Some foreshore blocks sit on westerly facing slopes, so the fence follows the levels we measure, not one height for the whole suburb. Balgowlah has a mix of houses, flats and townhouses between the beaches and the harbour. Frenchs Forest is inland, around Northern Beaches Hospital. Belrose sits beside Garigal National Park, where the bush is the outlook. Aluminium suits a solid yard. Balustrades and privacy screens suit balconies and side passages.

The fence, the gate and the screen

Frameless panels sit on stainless steel spigots. Semi-frameless panels use slim posts where the run needs them. We use 12mm toughened safety glass. Aluminium gives a solid edge, including tubular panels and flat-top designs, where you do not need to see through the fence. A privacy screen in powder-coated aluminium or frosted glass can close a side passage and still allow airflow.

The pool gate has to shut and latch. If it no longer swings shut, we repair the hinges, the latch and the catch. A sliding or swing automatic gate is a separate job for the driveway. Near the ocean, wind and salt reach the fittings, so we use corrosion-resistant hardware selected for coastal conditions in Sydney. Ask for a free site measure and quote.

    Council checks and the standard

Northern Beaches Council publishes the checks it uses. Registered pools or spas need a barrier at least 1.2m high, with no gaps more than 10cm underneath. Gates must open outwards, close by themselves and latch by themselves. Gate latches must be 1.5m above ground level, or have a shield. A boundary fence forming part of the pool barrier must be 1.8 metres high. Anything that could be a foothold must be kept at least 900mm clear of the fence and the gate.

Glass pool fences are designed and installed to meet or exceed Australian Standards (AS1926.1), and we provide the necessary certification. Our guide to glass pool fencing cost sets out what changes the quote, and our guide to pool fence requirements in NSW covers the barrier rules. For your property, ask Northern Beaches Council or a registered certifier.
