Beach, lagoon and salt air
The lagoon wildlife refuge includes remnant native bushland. The lagoon sits behind the dunes, and its entrance is intermittently open and closed to the ocean. Northern Beaches Council has determined a water level height which, when reached, triggers the artificial opening. The refuge is the outlook, not a separate fence rule.
A balcony toward the beach or the lagoon suits a glass balustrade. A privacy screen can screen a neighbour and still allow airflow. On a house yard we choose glass or aluminium after we measure. Near the ocean the fittings are corrosion-resistant hardware selected for coastal conditions in Sydney.
